The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards was like a bad sequel that no-one wanted to see.  The show was a complete continuation of last year’s event this time Grammy Award winning artist Kanye West came out on top.

West performed “Runaway” a song he claims he wrote for Swift: "I always find something wrong / You been putting up with my sh*t way too long." Country songstress, Taylor Swift retaliated by singing a song titled “Innocent” directed to Kanye West: “Thirty-two and still growing up/Lost your balance on the tightrope/It's never too late to get back.” Bryann Bravo an MTV viewer tweeted: “Dear Taylor Swift he stole your moment not your virginity stop being so depressed.” Let’s just hope this little feud ends right here.

If you aren’t familiar with the Kanye West & Taylor Swift “debacle” which took place last year here it is: Swift won “Best Female Video” much to the dismay of West. He stormed on the stage and made sure he voiced his opinion by saying: “I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time” The country singer was left in tears.

Other jaw dropping moments included Lady Gaga taking away 8 awards including video of the year for “Bad Romance”. According to Allie is Wired: "Gaga made a striking entrance on the white carpet," as she wore a dress made up of raw meat. The eccentric entertainer also took the stage to thank her little monsters (her fans) and even revealed the title of her new album: "I promised that if I won this, I would announce the name of my new album, it's called Born This Way."
