Axe deodorant has launched a brand new ad campaign for their new fragrance 'Excite' the advertisement which depicts angels falling from grace has been banned in South Africa.
The smell of the deodorant acts as an irresistible temptation that even Angels can't resist. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) advised the company to pull the ad, afraid that it might offend Christians.
The problem is not so much that angels are used in the commercial, but rather that the angels are seen to forfeit, or perhaps forego their heavenly status for mortal desires, this is something that would likely offend Christians.
Axe has retracted the advert and publicly apologized to viewers who felt offend by the advertisement.
