The People’s Choice Awards marks this first award show for 2012 and if this is in anyway an omen on how the rest of the award season is going to go down we’re in big trouble.

The first award show of the New Year has come and gone. The People’s Choice Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and was hosted by Queen Latifah. Latifah is not new to hosting as she also hosted the BET Awards last year. Some of the highlights included a performance by Disney Channel Darling, Selena Gomez, who also managed to take home the Favourite Breakout Artist award.
