The People’s Choice Awards marks this first award show for 2012 and if this is in anyway an omen on how the rest of the award season is going to go down we’re in big trouble.
Half of the nominees weren’t even at the event. Leaving the presenters with these infamous words: “we will accept this award on behalf of...”

Kim Kardashian, Ryan Reynolds, Lady Gaga, Johnny Depp, Rihanna and Katy Perry were just some of the winners who couldn't collect their respective awards. Perry was the biggest winner of the night, receiving 5 awards which included Music Video of the Year and Song of the Year. However Perry took to Twitter to thank her Katy Cats, “Thank you to everyone who voted for me. We won so many!”
The highlight of the evening was a performance by Demi Lovato who managed to snatch the Favourite Pop Artist award. After receiving her award the 19 year old, took the stage to perform her latest single “Give Your Heart A Break” you can watch her perform below:
