The music video for Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" isn't what it's cut out to be. Fans took to twitter to let their feelings be known.
A month ago Gaga announced that "Edge of Glory" would be her third single from her platinum selling "Born This Way" album. However E!Online got their hands on the casting list for the video which entailed:
- A good-looking Puerto Rican or Dominican type badass that must be willing to kiss Lady Gaga...Think Enrique Iglesias
- Male Couture Doctors to be decked out in white smocks and black gloves...Think Dr. 90210
- Male or female on-air reporter
- Military-type men carrying—an M16 Rifles
With such a detailed description fans all over the world started speculating that the video might be her best one yet better yet. Fans even started predicting that the "Edge of Glory" might be a continuation of the "Telephone" music video which featured 16-time Grammy award winner, Beyonce.
Gaga made it clear that, legendary music video director, Joseph Kahn would be shooting the "Edge of Glory" video. The music video premiered on So You Think You Can Dance and fans were completely surprised to see that the music video was the exact opposite of the cast list which leaked a month ago. In a dramatic turn of events the Edge of Glory music video is arguably her most simplistic video yet. Instead of a good-looking Puerto Rican badass Gaga is joined by saxophone player while she prances around the sidewalk wearing designs by Gianni Versace.
Gaga's Little Monster's looked for answers and turned to Lady Gaga's creative director and choreographer Laurieann Gibson. Gibson tweeted and replied to fans: "sorry guys there was a slight turn of events on set...they had an issue on set" MTV has confirmed that this music video was directed by The Haus of GaGa and not Joseph Kahn.
